Ryan is doing great! We went on our first family vacation this past week. This trip was also to celebrate our wedding anniversary. God has blessed Wade and I with 10 great years together. We left on Tuesday and returned on Friday. We went to Eureka Springs and had a wonderful time. Since we went during the middle of the week and not during the weekend it was not crowded at all, so it ended up being a very peaceful and relaxing few days. Ryan did great in the car. He slept most of the time, and only expressed his discontentment with his carseat during the last hour of the trip. It was good to be gone for a while and it was good to come home again. We were all very tired when we arrived back home but refreshed at the same time.

On another note...
Ryan has learned how to roll over and over and over. He can now roll from one place to another, but he hasn't quite figured out the benefits of this knowledge.
He loves playing in his exercauser and this seems to be his favourite toy for the moment. He still enjoys playing on the floor with toys although his preference is being more upright.
He now grabs at everything, and where do you think it goes?...Right to his mouth. We've let him taste a few things, and most of those things he finds yucky. However, we've noticed that he seems to "like" things if he puts them in his own mouth.
He now detests his pacifier. He was only taking the pacifier when he was sleepy. He must associate it with going to sleep because now when I see that he is getting sleepy and give him the pacifier he screams and cries. I think he has started to fight going to sleep. He must think he is going to miss something. Little does he know that his mom is still a little more clever than he is because I can let him play with my fingers. Eventually he will stick one of my fingers in his mouth and it works just like the pacifier. His eyes close almost instantly. (Don't worry I keep my fingers clean...just for him.)
Ryan has recently discovered he can scream. He loves to scream! I guess it's a little boy thing, but I think he enjoys seeing just how loud he can be. It is so cute. We can't help but laugh.

The joy and love we have for our little boy is absolutely indescribable. God is amazing. His love is beyond description, and we stand in awe of his blessings. Give Him praise today for He is good.

Prayer Request: Ryan gets his immunizations tomorrow and he also gets his first RSV shot on Thursday. If there is any possibility that having so many immunizations so close together could cause his little body any harm pray that the doctor and I would be wise to that and we would only do what is best for Ryan.

New pictures will be posted shortly. If you would like to see more of our pictures you can go to thestanfillfamily.shutterfly.com We are adding new albums as we have time.
