19 weeks old today!
Everything has been going well this week for Ryan. He had 4 different appointments in OKC this week on 3 different days. He had 2 chiropractor appointments, 1 pulmonologist appointment and 1 opthalmalogist appointment.
His last appointment was on Friday. It was to see Dr. Scott (eyes). Dr. Scott is very pleased with Ryan's eyes. He said that his eyes are showing great signs of improvement, and he downgraded Ryan's diagnosis to "mild ROP". He said that he wants to see Ryan in 1 month, and if everything is continuing to improved he doesn't want to see him for 1 year! That's amazing. We are so incredibly grateful.
Earlier this week Ryan rolled over. I'm not sure if we could actually count it as reaching a developmental milestone or not. He was a little upset at the time. He was laying on his back and grunting (his precursor to crying). Before long his grunts started sounding different. I checked on him...and he was on his tummy.
This upcoming week we only have 1 appointment in OKC. We're apt to not know what to do since we don't have anywhere we have to go for most of the week. SoonerStart will also be coming out to the house on Tuesday to do an evaluation and see if he qualifies for their services. We really think highly of SoonerStart and we're looking forward to seeing them.
We would like to say a special thank you to those who showered us with gifts and for those who were able to attend the shower. We were blessed with some much needed clothes, diapers, soap, lotion, and a whole lot more. Thank you for your gifts. The continued outpouring of love from our friends leaves us speechless. Thank you most of all to those who have prayed for us with great fervency. We hope God blesses those who have been tireless in their prayers. God is amazing. We stand in awe of His display of greatness through all of this.
