Ryan had a good day yesterday. His breathing finally calmed down, and he was able to nipple all his feedings. He ate very well yesterday. The amount of milk he is expected to eat each time is 37-40 ml. They have taken the HMF out of his milk now. They have also put his breathing treatments on an "as needed" basis. (Now we hardly ever get to see the RTs...and that's just really sad.) His oxygen is still at 1/2L. He got his immunizations yesterday. Poor little guy. He just doesn't have a lot of "meat" on his bones for all those shots. The nurse said he took them like a champ. He cried at first and then was like "okay..I'm fine...I'm a big boy." He was a bit cranky for just a little while. He will be given Tylenol for a while to help. Last night he got to go "swimming" in the tub. He ate and then we tucked him in bed.
We got word from the doctor that the plan is to "room-in" with Ryan on Thursday and take him home on Friday! Friday is May 11th, exactly 3 months from the day he was born on February 11th.

A VERY SPECIAL THANKS to the Crescent FCCLA for the awesome Project Ryan. It was great! Their displays bringing awareness to prematurity were very well designed and presented. Everything from the food to the games to the animals and especially all the people were fantastic. We stand in awe of how much people care. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
