Day 45
2 pounds 8.5 ounces

Ryan seems to really like the isolette. The reduction in noise has been very beneficial for him. Yesterday he did not do great with Kangarooing. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't make much of a difference in his day. His ventilator rate was turned down to 32, and he tolerated the change well. They went up on his feeds to 16.5 ml every 3 hours and he also tolerated this change well.

We got the results from the bilirubin tests. Right now it looks like he just needs to camp out under the phototherapy lights a little longer. This is good.

We also got the results from the brain ultrasound. The report indicated that he possibly has a brain hemorrhage. (Please don't ask us about it because we don't know anything other than what the report said.) We honestly thought we were well beyond the possiblity of him having any brain bleeds. I guess we're not well beyond anything.
