One of Ryan's doctors called and said that Ryan had a bad blood gas this morning. They made some adjustments to the ventilator, and they will be doing another blood gas at noon. The nurse said that Ryan had a few episodes last night and a few this morning where his oxygen dipped into the 40s and 50s. Other than these he has been up and down in and out of the 70s throughout the night and morning. He is taking antibiotics for an infection in his lungs, but the doctor said that so far his blood work has come back negative for infection. The infection is isolated to his lungs.
