Ryan had a fairly good day yesterday. He is now being fed 8 ml every 3 hours. He is still having his episodes, and we are still hoping and dreaming of the day when he doesn't. The doctor turned down the rate on his ventilator from 42 to 40. Unfortunately Ryan needed additional oxygen to compensate for the lower rate. We are hoping his little body will adjust to the lower rate, and they will be able to turn the oxygen back down. Ryan got really upset yesterday afternoon and his heart rate went over 200 bpm. This set off all the alarms. He was able to be calmed down with a little bit of touch from his Mommy. He is still being sedated every 2 hours.
Please say a special prayer for Kenzie's family. Her parents, Marcus and Stacie, held her one last time as she passed into the arms of Jesus. They said their final good-byes last night.
