Ryan had a pretty good day yesterday. He had a good morning blood gas, so they turned the ventilator rate down to 11. He did well with the change. His oxygen needs were down to 38-45% all day yesterday. We haven't seen levels that low in quite some time. He is still having his episodes. Occasionally he will have one that needs the nurses intervening to help him recover, but most of his episodes he dips just below 85% which sets off the alarms. He recovers from these on his own. He is still on the bili blanket. His level was 5.9 yesterday. The doctor wants it under 4. He has been on the blanket/lights since March 23. Today is the last day he receives antibiotic ointment in his eyes.
