When we arrived yesterday afternoon the nurse said that Ryan was having a very good day. She was able to wean his oxygen, and he was satting well. The afternoon was not quite as good. He had a few of his minor episodes, but he also had a couple of major episodes where his oxygen dropped into the 20s and his heart rate dropped into the 50s. We don't really know what happened with these.
His ventilator rate was turned down to 22 yesterday morning, and down to 20 yesterday evening. They did not give the steroids. We don't know why, but maybe they will be given today.
