Ryan had a pretty good day yesterday. He is still nippling 2 out of 3 bottles. He does well. He is, however, particular about the nipple. I fed him at 6:00 and the nipple was different than what he has been using. He played with the nipple more than concentrating on eating. It took all of 30 minutes (plus a little) for him to eat, and usually he is able to finish a bottle within about 20 minutes. I fed him again at 9:00 using the nipple he likes and he finished the bottle with no problems. They turned down his oxygen to 3/4 liter from 1 liter. He seemed to do well with the changes.

Yesterday was an "off" day for me. I haven't been able to successfully kangaroo with Ryan for several days. I don't know if it is me or possibly the environment. The Satellite Nursery we are in is much brighter. And...it's just different, less cozy. The longer we are in the Satellite the more anxious I am to bring my baby boy home. I've always been looking forward to bringing him home, but when we were in the main NICU I was content to wait. Now I'm very ready and becoming a lot less patient.
