Day 82
?? (I don't know today's weight yet)

Ryan had a pretty good day yesterday. He is still nippling 3 out of 4 feedings. Basically, he gets 6 bottles a day. His oxygen is still at 1/2L at 100%. There has become a little concern about Ryan's breathing. Night before last he began breathing faster than he should. Throughout the day yesterday his breathing was pretty fast at times. They want him to breathe under 70 breaths/minute, but his breathing was often up around 100 bpm or more. One of the big concerns related to his breathing...he can't bottle-feed if his breathing is too high. That being said...twice yesterday he was breathing too fast before a feeding, but they allowed me to try feeding him. Of course they watched very carefully to make sure he wasn't struggling enough to cause aspiration. During those two feedings he calmed down and was able to take the whole bottle without any problems.
