Today has been a pretty good day. As you know Ryan has been struggling with gas since we have been home. Unfortunately the problem hasn't been getting better, but at times seems to have become worse. He has been so uncomfortable over the last couple of days that he has not wanted to eat well. A friend of ours recommended we take Ryan to a Chiropractor. Their baby had the same kind of troubles and the Chiropractor was able to help them tremendously. This morning I called the Chiropractor, and we were given an appointment of our choice. We took Ryan late this afternoon. The doctor was wonderful. He explained a lot about the spine and the nerves, and he asked a lot of questions about Ryan's history. He explained that some babies manage to have "twists" in their spines related to the positioning in the womb. The twists pinch nerves. After evaluating Ryan he found that Ryan has 3 or 4 pinched nerves, most of which innervate his bowel/gut area. We are sooooo hopeful. We just want Ryan to be more comfortable.

I hope it doesn't seem as though I am complaining because I am not. I have just seen a problem and am willing to exhaust all resources to get Ryan some help if it is available. I feel incredibly thankful for everything. Ryan is truly a miracle. I'm not sure why God would ever consider us for this miracle, but I'm grateful beyond words for Ryan and more so for God's great love. God's love is amazing!

Tomorrow we go back to the opthlmalogist (eye doctor). Our appointment is for 1:00 in the afternoon.
