Day 89
4 pounds 2 ounces
Ryan is home!!!!
We spent the night "rooming-in" with Ryan this past evening. He did well through the night. We did well through the night. We viewed the night as our first family vacation. Our room was the "hotel" room and we even received room service. It was great. If only there was a hot tub....I think approaching "rooming-in" with this kind of attitude reduces the stress. The doctor came in and did a final evaluation of Ryan. Everyone who came in this morning was all smiles. I think everyone is excited about our little miracle. We love our doctors, nurses and RTs. They became our family over the last 3 months. We will definately miss them. Please continue to pray for each one of the caregivers at the hospital. God truly uses each one of them in very special and mighty ways. We will also miss the other NICU families. We became good friends with several families. Please continue to pray for the other families with babies in the NICU.
We arrived home today at about 12:40 p.m. We haven't got completely settled yet, but we are working on it. A nap may happen before much more gets done though. Ryan has had his first bottle at home. He ate well and he is now quietly resting in the cradle his great-grandpa made.
Check out the new pictures of Ryan in his carseat. They were taken just before leaving the hospital. His final portraits while in the hospital....
