Ryan had fair day yesterday. He had a lot of episodes, but most of them were not serious. His oxygen dropped in and out of the 70s and 80s quite a few times. The ventilator rate was turned down to 30. He breathes with the ventilator at times and at other times he breathes above the ventilator. We sure are hoping that he will be able to come off the ventilator within the next 2 weeks. They have completely taken him off of the IV lipids. Now they are giving him a triglyceride oil twice a day with his milk. Ryan did okay during kangarooing. He wasn't able to relax as much as other days. Some of that may have been related to the dramatic changes in weather that were going on outside. I actually got to hold him for nearly 3 hours! Part of the reason for this was probably the weather. When the NICU got word that there were tornadoes very near things got a little crazy.
