Well...we've made a decision on the doctor. For now we will see Dr. Stockton. She was Brandy's doctor for a short while, but due to Brandy's extensive medical needs she referred us to Dr. Orme. We loved Dr. Orme, and although we didn't see Dr. Stockton for very long we did like her. I hope we are able to get to know her well enough to say 'we love Dr. Stockton'. Having a doctor that we really love and trust is just so very important to me. After all...they have my son's life in their hands to a certain degree. Anyway...enough about that.

Ryan is doing well. He STILL isn't crawling. He has been on his hands and knees, rocking back and forth, for quite some time now. Now he gets on his hands and feet, behind in the air. It is so cute, but he gets pretty frustrated. He has the leg motion, but has no clue what to do with his hands...they just get in his way! He loves to walk though, and if I'm not careful he is likely to skip the crawling business altogether. I guess I should start really baby-proofing the house.

Ryan went to the eye doctor last Wednesday. He doesn't need glasses! The doctor said everything was looking great with his eyes. His left eye is a little more far-sighted than his right, but this is of no concern. Our next appointment with Dr. Scott is January 2009!

Ryan is eating really well. His last weight was 14 pounds 2 ounces which he has been hovering at for a few months now, but I expect to see he has gained weight when we go back to the doctor. This is what is on his regular menu (aka "food he will actually eat"): sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, mango, prunes, saltine crackers, teething biscuits.

I really want to thank everyone for all of your prayers and encouragement. I can't thank you enough. God is good and has heard the cries of his children. Thank you for crying out to God on our behalf.

Birthday Plans:
I wasn't planning on having a party in February since we are still in the middle of RSV season, which, as you know, scares me. But I can't imagine not doing something special...after all...it's his 1st birthday...a birthday we didn't know if we would ever see. We will be having a "family-only" party at our house. It will more than likely be the weekend after 2/11. We will be sending out more information to the family soon. But...
We will plan on having a big "family and friends" party in June...a "due date" 1-year birthday party. We will be making plans and will keep everyone informed as plans are made. I'm sure it will be fun, and I am excited about having friends and family around us for such a great occasion.
