Ryan is experiencing some new and exciting firsts…His first tooth came in Saturday! He pulled up for the first time a couple of days ago. He spent the evening with Nana so his mom and dad could go on their first baby-free date since last January. He has taken his first steps (holding on). He loves to stand, and this new-found interest has created his first crash-and-burn experiences…complete with scrapes and bruises. He forgets he mustn’t let go. He loves to walk around holding someone’s fingers, and although this is very exciting, it presents new challenges. He now finds being trapped in the confines of his exercauser or even on his cute little behind quite boring. He wants to GO! He is very close to crawling. He gets up on all fours and rocks quite efficiently. It’s just the putting one knee in front of the other that he has a problem with. He almost does a leap-frog kind of move. It is cute. Am I ready for him to be mobile? Well…I’m not so sure. I know my baby-proofing is not ready.
