Day 57
2 pounds 12 ounces!--Time to celebrate!

Ryan had a pretty good day yesterday. We saw the doctor on the elevator, and he said he was hoping to get Ryan off the ventilator within the next couple of days. The ventilator rate was turned down to 9! His oxygen needs were about 55-60% The nurses and RT said that he was doing very well. They went up on his feedings to 23 ml every 3 hours.

We want to say a very special thank you to the Crescent School System. They had a blood drive last week and all the donations were credited to Ryan to help with any of the processing expenses we encounter with all of his blood transfusions. We also want to say a very special thank you in advance to the Crescent FCCLA. We also want to extend this invitation: The Crescent FCCLA invites you to "PROJECT RYAN: Taking Baby Steps" A Walk-A-Thon (including food, a moonwalk, pony rides, face painting, balloon animals, games, bake sale and music). Saturday May 5th from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Crescent HS practice field and gymnasium. Everyone can participate.
