Day 65
3 pounds!
Ryan finally made it to 3 pounds! He has about 5 ounces to gain before they will start trying to feed him with a bottle. The nurse told us that often times when kids come off the ventilator they begin to gain weight more quickly, so maybe next week we will be able to try to feed him with a bottle. They have currently increased his feedings to 25 ml every 3 hours. In a day's time he gets 6.6 ounces. Ryan's oxygen settings are still at 50% at 2L. The doctor stopped his Pulmocort breathing treatments yesterday, so now he only has albuterol treatments every 3 hours.
